Whether you're a longtime fan of EO or interested in giving the series a try, Etrian Odyssey Untold is for you!
Story Mode offers a new gameplay mode with new characters and animated cutscenes, while Classic Mode lets you go further with a team of your own creation.
Both modes feature a number of improvements and the new Grimoire Stone system!
Characteristics: - The game was the first in the series to feature two modes, Classic and Story
- Classic mode is the same as the other entries, with custom characters and maps
- The new Story mode is similar to other RPG series with an expansive story, preset characters, cut scenes and voice acting
- But players will have to draw their own dungeon maps, just like in Classic mode
- The game also features three difficulty settings: Picnic, which allows for easy play; Normal, which allows a moderately difficult game; and Expert, which allows for the hardest game possible
- While Classic mode keeps the character creation aspect of the game, Story mode adds five characters with unique classes and dialogue
- The player's avatar, Highlander, is a young man sent to Etria to investigate the cause of the earthquakes that have been plaguing the city lately
